Here is a list of mountains in Bali that you can visit as a hiking destination.

1. Gunung Agung
Climbing Mount Agung may be one of the climbers' objectives. Mount Agung is the highest point in Bali and is still an active volcano. Trekking and hiking here are neither easy nor difficult; it all depends on your physical stamina. You simply need to ensure that you are fit and healthy. It takes about 3 to 4 hours to climb if you are fit enough, but it can take up to 6 hours if you take a lot of breaks.

It will take 4-5 hours to ascend Mount Agung using the best route, which may be from Pasar Agung Temple. The second option you might think about is via Besakih, which requires a 6-hour climb. At the summit of Mount Agung, you will witness a stunning vista.

2. Gunung Lesung

This mountain is ideal for visitors who are still learning how to climb. Having said that, it is thought that the crater on Mount Lesung is not your average crater.

3. Gunung Batur

This mountain not only offers a natural panorama, but also the allure of Lake Batur. Kintamani, Bangli, is the location. Aside from Mount Agung, the Balinese regard Mount Batur as a special mountain. Locals refer to it as Pradhana or the woman or mother of Mount Agung. The road to the mountain is also relatively safe for inexperienced climbers. It normally takes about 2-3 hours to reach the summit of Mount Batur.

4. Gunung Catur
Mount Catur is the fourth most popular climbing location in Bali. Mount Catur, also known as Peak Mangu, rises 2,096 meters above sea level. The mountain in Bedugul does provide a unique view. Not only that, but because Mount Chess is in the middle of the mountains, you can see almost all of the mountains on the island of Bali from here.

5. Gunung Batukaru
Mount Batukaru is revered not only as a tourist destination in Bali but also as a source of life for the Balinese. The mountain area flows upstream of the river, whose water is clear and does not recede. The mountain rises 2,276 meters above sea level. As you climb the mountain, you will see a view of the temple, which is still in use. The road to the temple is also in the form of a footpath, making it easier for visitors to access.
