G20 leaders began to arrive in Bali to welcome the G20 High-Level Conference.

Several guests began to arrive in Bali ahead of the G20 Summit. Those who have arrived include Klaus Schwab, Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum (WEF), and Muhammad Sulaiman Al Jasser, President of the Islamic Development Bank (ISBD).

The arrival of several world leaders in Bali was broadcast on Sunday (13/11/2022) via the G20 Bali Summit 2022 YouTube account. Schwab stepped off the plane and into the car that had been provided. He then exited the vehicle and made his way to the reception area. I Wayan Koster, Governor of Bali, greeted Schwab. Schwab was welcomed with a Balinese dance.

ILO Director-General Gilbert Houngbo arrived in Bali not long after that. Governor, I Wayan Koster and Minister of Communication and Information Johnny G Plate greeted him.

Only after that did Muhammad Sulaiman Al Jasser appear. Sulaiman, like Gilbert, was welcomed by I Wayan Koster and Plate.

Marcelo Ebrard, Mexico's Foreign Minister, arrived later. This time, they were greeted by Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi and Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan.

In addition, the leaders who had arrived directly left the airport. They made their way to the hotel where they were staying.

The G20 is a multilateral strategic platform that connects countries to the world's major economies. G20 members account for more than 80% of the global economy, 75% of international trade, and 60% of the world's population. Every year, each head of state or head of government attends the intense G20 Summit Forum. This year, Indonesia takes over as G20 President, a position previously held by Italy.

Indonesia, under his leadership, carries the spirit of recovery and the theme 'Recover Together, Recover Stronger.' The global health architecture, digital transformation, and the transition to sustainable energy are three of Indonesia's G20 priorities. The G20 Indonesia Summit will be held in Bali from November 15-16, 2022. This event is the culmination of a series of G20 agendas during Indonesia's presidency of the G20.
